Santander Consumer Bank, Worldline extend partnership for payment services

Worldline, through its equensWorldline subsidiary specialized in financial processing, and the Santander Consumer Bank in Poland, extend their partnership for a new services.

equensWorldline provides the technical processing for their Visa credit cards. Since 2006 the Santander Consumer Bank in Poland is customer of Worldline.

equensWorldline processes the Visa credit cards of the Santander Consumer Bank in Poland. The contract covers, amongst others, the co-branding cards of European consumer electronics chains.

By using the equensWorldline solution “Instalment Credit” the granting of credit in the large electronics markets happens in real time.

The customers of the Santander Consumer Bank directly receive a so called Visa Instant Card and are able to pay with it at the checkout. Through equensWorldline’s Installment Credit solution customers of the Santander Consumer Bank can apply for different variable installment plans in real time.

equensWorldline chief operations officer Wolf Kunisch said: “The large number of local providers and the price war lead to a high competitive pressure on the Central European market.

“equensWorldline was able to prevail against the competitors because of the high flexibility of our solutions and a short time to market. As a result our contract with Santander Consumer Bank on the Central European market has been extended once again.”
